In Chanel’s 2012-2013 Cruise collection Karl Lagerfeld had a vision Marie Antoinette went to Japan and was inspired by the current fashions of the Lolita’s and Harajuku’s. Bringing the inspired styles back to Versailles the outcome is 18th century meets rock n roll.
