Maybe it’s the Met Costume Institute’s new exhibit, Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations, or perhaps Italian fashion and business heavyweight, Diego Della Valle’s shocking announcement (pun intended) of a Schiaparelli revival, or even the pendulum finally swinging the other way after these past few conservative, recessionary years that’s inspired the recent spate in surrealist-inspired accessories. But whatever the reason, surrealist motifs are back for fall, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to see a liberal dose of imagination informing fashion’s new year. Hello, Dali!

Here’s our first look at P.T. Anderson’s latest The Master. It’s kind of a teaser, kind of a look at Joaquin Phoenix’s character in the film. If you’re looking for any part of the story or plot, you won’t find it here and that’s just fine.
Take this as a taste of the upcoming meal that Anderson is preparing for us and leave it at that. Unless, of course, you’d like a description of the shown footage at the Cannes Film Festival, in which case, you could always check this report out.

Posing with the Collins’. I was so looking forward to Dark Shadows but ended up disappointed when it fell flat. It started off very promising and funny but its downfall was too many characters and not enough development. Fun sound track and great art direction by Burton. Wait for the video. :(
